Motability Scheme Changes Coming 1st July 2026

Several changes to the Motability Scheme are due to take effect from 1st July 2026, including VAT being added to most Advance Payments and certain charges, a reduction in the annual mileage allowance to 10,000 miles, increased excess mileage charges, new tyre replacement limits, and a fee for taking your vehicle abroad.

The good news is that if you order your next Motability vehicle before 1st July 2026, you'll retain the current scheme benefits and terms for the full length of your lease.

Am I eligible to join the Motability Scheme?

You need at least 12 months remaining on your disability allowance to lease a vehicle through the Scheme.

How do I apply to the Motability Scheme to lease a vehicle?

If you are eligible for the Scheme, all you need to do is contact us to make an appointment and arrange test drives.

Can someone else drive for me?

Our worry-free package includes insurance for up to three named drivers – these can be yourself, friends, family or carers.

Can I extend my car lease?

It may be possible to arrange an extension to your current car lease.
