Premier Rental Terms and Conditions

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this site. We reserve the right to change any of its terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.

Deposits and Excess Charges

Deposit

-A deposit of £300 is required for all car and van bookings. This deposit may take up to 5 working days to be refunded.

Excess charges:

-Standard excess (cars & vans) - £2,500

-Reduced excess (cars & vans) £300 at daily rate depending on vehicle.

Optional Roadside Assistance Package cover is available at £15 per day. This includes Full UK breakdown coverage and Tyre and Windscreen coverage.

Driving Licence and Age Requirements

-Our standard insurance terms cover drivers aged 25 to 75.

-Drivers under 25 must have a minimum of 2 years' driving experience.

-All drivers must present a full valid driving licence (digital licences are not accepted).

-If the driving licence is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines.

-Renters with licences from countries that are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.

-All renters must produce a valid photo ID such as a driving licence, passport or ID card. Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK.

-Minimum and maximum age limits apply. Certain endorsements may be accepted; please contact our rental reception to confirm eligibility.

-Please note that we reserve the right to request additional ID or conduct further identification checks if needed, which may include an identity check with an external organisation.

Responsibility for Damage

-The hirer is responsible for the payment of an excess charge in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.
-The maximum vehicle excess amount is £2,500 or Reduced Excess option is £300. In the event of any damage, a damage estimate must be completed.

Damage Disputes

-Renters wishing to discuss or dispute any matters concerning damage to the rental vehicle may contact us.

Delivery and Collection Service

-Premier Rental offers a delivery and/or collection service, charged at £25 per delivery and £25 per collection.

-This service is subject to availability and is only available during Premier Rental business hours. Please ask for details.

Breakdown Cover and European Travel

-Only cars and vans are fully covered for breakdowns within the UK if additional cover is purchased.

-If the vehicle is taken to Europe, we will provide the customer with our written consent (VE103B form) and this is charged at £264.

-Advice on driving in other European countries following the United Kingdom leaving the European Union may be found at www.gov.uk/driving-abroad

Fuel Policy

-Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel.

-You must refuel the vehicle with the correct type of fuel before returning it.

-Any fuel shortage will be charged, along with a £15 administration fee.

Parking Policy

-Unfortunately, we cannot permit hirers to leave their personal vehicles on our premises during the rental period.

Early Termination

-Ending your contract early will incur a charge of approximately 50% of the remaining rental payments. The vehicle must be returned to us in the same condition it was provided, including a full tank of fuel.

-If you return the vehicle early, you will forfeit any special offers or discounted rates and will be charged the full standard rate. There are no refunds for any unused days.

-Vehicle collection must be arranged within the quoted period - failure to do so may result in additional charges.

Lost Property 

-The Company accepts no responsibility for personal belongings left in any vehicle or on Company premises. Any items found will be recorded and stored securely, and where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to contact the hirer if the item can be linked to a specific rental agreement. Lost property will be retained for a maximum of 14 days from the end of the rental period (or from the date the item is discovered, if later). If unclaimed after this period, the Company reserves the right to dispose of, destroy, or donate the item at it’s discretion without further notice. Reasonable postage and packaging costs may be charged for returning items. Items containing personal data, such as bank cards or identification documents, may be securely destroyed or returned to the issuing authority where appropriate. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage to unclaimed property beyond taking reasonable care while it is in its possession.

Cancellation Policy

-Cancellations may result in the forfeiture of your deposit or rental fee (up to £300), depending on the notice period and circumstances. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to cancel a booking. Any cancellations made within 7 days of the hire start date will result in the full rental charge being forfeited.

 

Premier Motors (Solent) Limited t/a Premier Ford is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486). Permitted activities include acting as a credit broker not a lender.

We can introduce you to a limited number of finance providers. We do not charge a fee for our Consumer Credit services. We do not act as a financial adviser, or fiduciary. We act in our own interest, whichever lender we introduce you to, we will typically receive commission from them based on either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow. Any and all commission amounts will be fully disclosed to you as part of your sales journey. You will be required to give your fully informed consent to our receipt of this commission. By doing this, you acknowledge that you understand our role as a credit broker, and that we will receive a financial incentive if you take out a loan from a lender that we introduce you to.
