What vehicles can I hire?

We offer an extensive range of passenger and commercial vehicles to suit your needs, including:

-Compact cars such as the MG3 Hybrid

-Seven-seater MPVs

-A variety of vans, including Luton box vans with tail-lifts

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, deposits are required for all rentals:

-Cars: £500

-Vans: £750

 

Are there age restrictions for hiring a vehicle?

Our standard insurance terms cover drivers aged 25 to 75. Drivers under 25 must have a minimum of 2 years' driving experience. Drivers outside this range may be accommodated with our insurer's approval, though additional conditions may apply. For further details, please contact us at 01983 245050.

 

What is the excess on rentals?

-Cars: £5000 (reduced to £500 with a waiver at £15/day)

-Vans and buses: £5000 (reduced to £750 with a waiver at £15/day)

-Optional tyre and windscreen cover: £10/day

 

What type of driving licence is required?

You must hold a National Driving Licence from your country of residence.

-UK residents must present both parts of the two-part photocard licence.

-Licences not printed in the Roman alphabet require an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to the original licence.

 

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes, additional drivers can be added to your rental agreement. They must meet the same requirements as the main driver, and a small fee will apply per additional driver.

 

Can I rent a vehicle if I have points on my licence?

In most cases, yes. However, we require details of any endorsements at the time of booking to confirm eligibility.

 

How much does it cost to rent a vehicle?

Is insurance included in the rental price?

Yes, all quoted prices include insurance and VAT, subject to terms and conditions.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

 

Can I leave my vehicle at Premier Rental during the rental period?

Unfortunately, we cannot permit hirers to leave their personal vehicles on our premises during the rental period.

 

What are the fuel policies?

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition. Any fuel shortage will be charged, along with a £15 administration fee.

 

Can I take my rental vehicle abroad?

Yes, subject to prior arrangement and approval. Additional insurance and documentation are required, and associated costs will apply.

  1. -You must notify us of your travel plans when booking, including destinations and trip duration.
  2. -European Emergency Cover is mandatory and must be arranged by the customer. A copy of this policy will be required for our records.

 

What should I do if I experience a breakdown?

-UK rentals: Breakdown cover is included, with details provided in each vehicle.

-Overseas rentals: Breakdown and accident cover must be arranged by the customer at their expense.

 

Can I return my rental vehicle to a different location?

No, we do not offer one-way rentals.

 

Do you provide a delivery and collection service?

Yes, delivery and collection services are available (subject to location, time of year, and availability). Charges start from £25 each way, and services are offered during our standard opening hours.

 

Is there a cancellation fee?

Cancellations may result in the forfeiture of your deposit, which could be up to £750, depending on the notice provided and the circumstances of the cancellation.

Premier Rental Terms and Conditions

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this site. We reserve the right to change any of its terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.

-A deposit of £500 is required for all car bookings.

-A deposit of £750 is required for all van bookings.

Excess charges:

Cars: £5000 (reduced to £500 with a waiver at £15.00 per day)

Vans and buses: £5000 (reduced to £750.00 with a waiver at £15.00 per day)

Optional tyre and windscreen cover is available at £10.00 per day for all vehicles.

-A full and clean UK driving licence is required and must be presented at the time of hire.

-Drivers must be aged 21 or over.

-The licence must have been held for a minimum of 1 year.

-Minimum and maximum age limits apply. Certain endorsements may be accepted; please contact our rental reception to confirm eligibility.

-The hirer is responsible for the payment of an excess charge in the event of damage to the rental vehicle.

-An additional payment may be made to waive all or part of the excess. Please inquire for details.

-Premier Rental offers a delivery and/or collection service, charged at £25 per delivery and £25 per collection.

-This service is subject to availability and is only available during Premier Rental business hours. Please ask for details.

-All cars and vans are fully covered for breakdowns within the UK.

-If the vehicle is taken to Europe, the hirer is required to purchase their own breakdown cover.

-Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel.

-You must refuel the vehicle with the correct type of fuel before returning it.

-Costs for fuel and a refuelling service will apply if the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank.

-All rates are subject to change without notice.

-Fuel is not included in the rental cost but may be an additional charge.

-While we have a car park on-site, hirers are not permitted to leave their personal vehicles on our premises during the rental period.

Premier Motors (Solent) Limited t/a Premier Ford is an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (their registration number is 313486). Permitted activities include advising on and arranging general insurance contracts and acting as a credit broker not a lender. We can introduce you to a limited number of finance providers. We do not charge fees for our Consumer Credit services. We may receive a payment(s) or other benefits from finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with them, typically either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow. The payment we receive may vary between finance providers and product types. The payment received does not impact the finance rate offered. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over, Guarantees may be required.
